Facilities

California Distribution School

John Muir school moved to its current site in the fall of 2005. The 1960's elementary site was freshly painted, cleaned, and updated to accommodate the K-12 student body. In the next three years we received additional upgrades thanks to Proposition MM and other funding. This included a bus turn-around, a new library (with a $100,000 book and media collection), a lunch court, remodeled science classrooms, and updated electrical and data wiring. Our auditorium boasts a state-of-the-art audio-visual system. We have new playground equipment that meets state and federal safety regulations.

John Muir is currently under whole site modernization.  Construction broke ground in January of 2021 and will continue until Spring of 2023.  The site during the 2021 -2022 school year will complete Phase I.  During Phase II set to begin in July of 2022, the current classrooms will be relocated to the new 2 story building (picture shown above).  We are working closely with the district and contractors to ensure that student learning is not interrupted during the school day.   We are excited for the growth of our learning community as we shift our teaching into state of the art facilities.
