Welcome to the Home of the Mountaineers!

We are a dedicated district magnet school focused on Spanish language immersion, global citizenship, and Restorative Practices. Our school serves students from UTK through 8th grade, offering a vibrant learning environment for both elementary (UTK–5) and middle school (6th–8th) students.

Each grade level at Muir consists of one to two cohorts, fostering a supportive, personalized, and safe environment both in and out of the classroom.

At John Muir Language Academy we offer:

• Grades UTK–8: One-Way Spanish Immersion (90/10 model)

Through collaboration with students, families, and community partners, we strive every day to build a school rooted in a “Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture.” Alongside this commitment, our team ensures “Effective Instruction in Every Classroom.”
